Racing is Life

For those who do not know, these are the words pronounced by Michael Delaney, a character played by the legendary Steve McQueen, protagonist of the film “The 24 Hours of Le Mans”.

In the film, Delaney responds to a question asked by a journalist during a pre-race interview, which asks what is the sense of risking your life on board of extraordinary powerful cars.

The words with which Delaney responds exude passion, determination and perhaps even that bit of unconsciousness that must necessarily characterize the character of a pilot and seemed to us the most suitable to explain the mission Movisport, a stable that has represented for almost twenty years some of the best drivers in the National and International motorsport scene, among Rallies and Circuits.

OUR STORY

Movisport was founded in 1999 thanks to the passion for racing (and for the rallies in particular) of Zelindo Melegari.

In 1987 the first experiences, on board of a Talbot Sunbeam Ti and later on the Renault 5 Gt Turbo.

At the beginning of the 90s the events increased, as well as the gravel appointments with the iconic Lancia Delta Integrale and Ford Escort Cosworth. At the same time, also the nature of the collaboration with the team Europa Corse evolved, initially wearing the role of pilot and then joining the company covering the role of team manager.

In 1999 Zelindo Melegari leaves the team and with some drivers who followed him founded the Movisport racing team.
